11 January 2009

Let me start by wishing Gracie a happy birthday!

I'm not sure that I want to make my third post a b!tchfest so let me just say that...the sun came out today. And *I* didn't have to run the snowblower. And Oreo is turning into an excellent lapcat. (Hillary only likes to sleep on my back, which makes it difficult to use the computer. And Julius likes to be nearby, but he understands that my legs go numb in fifteen seconds if he's on my lap. Moo...well, Moo is never going to be warm and fuzzy.)

So I guess those are going to be the entries in today's gratitude journal.
Stay tuned for more (yawn) excitement.

guess who's here?

Spent some of the last days of 2008 with Rick et al; must reluctantly accept I shall never be an Olympic figure skater, but I *am* a world-class bruiser. Was very happy to come home to Julius and His Harem. Hillary, my almost-sixteen-year-old tuxie, is a magniffurrcent feline specimen and acts half her chronological age. The Girlz are a marvelous addition to my household: Moo is right-pawed and likes her stuffed mice; Oreo is a southpaw and is obsessed with foam and fuzzy balls. Julius is a love and is being furry gentle with all of his sisters.

I've consumed lobster four separate times since I returned from MA. I have been knitting, but haven't done much with fabric; the studio is still a disaster zone.

I'm taking it one step at a time.

it's about time

Finally! In spite of myself, it looks like I'm going to have a presence on the Web. And with a little help from assorted fiber folks, I'm even going to launch a website. Who knew?
